Anyone who knows me, knows I have a passion for paintings of wheat field. Specifically Van Gogh’s wheat paintings, but this is not bad either. Most of focus in wheat works has come in the later part of a wheat life cycle, but this scene of sowing the wheat is equally as exciting. Sowing is the beginning of new life and optimism. Very different from my days looking at wheat reapers. And who could forget that time I spent 6 months studying sheaves of wheat. Sheaves of wheat are optimistic in their own way, but there seems to be more joy in sowing.
I also have to mention, I love how the artist speckled pinks, greens, and blues, throughout the wheat to add some dimension and definition to what would otherwise be a blob of muted yellow tones.
