Cluster G1-79 | Ida Kohlmeyer, 20th Century

I love how this piece is very colorful yet somehow not overwhelmingly colorful. Perfectly colorful. It looks like you laid out 12 squares and told 12 people to abstractly fill in each square with a set of pastels. Each square is different, there does not seem to be a pattern, but it is cohesive nonetheless. There is an essence of a game of tic tac toe, but this version of tic tac toe has an extra column and few more shapes to play with.

I could easily imagine putting this in my home. Probably in a hall way of some sort. Maybe in a light dining room or formal living room. I’m open to suggestions.
