I can only imagine the secrets being shared in these shadows. I love how we are seeing this scene of two people with each other from a different perspective. We get to see them indirectly through their shadows, and it allows the viewer to take a step back to pay more attention to things like the space between and body language that don't always take priority in typical paintings of people where the eye can be naturally drawn to the emotion in the face or the person's clothes.
