Heirloom I | Billy Gibney, 2025
Heirloom I | Billy Gibney, 2025

I am a sucker for some good silverware. This silverware isn't that special, but I just wanted to put the word out that I like silverware. I think ornate silverware would compete the actual artistic vision of this piece, which is such a cool concept. The touching scene taking place throughout the work is stunning and incredibly impressive, and then there is an entire other pespective being depicted through the reflections of the knives.

Besides knives being the most obvious silverware choice to use when trying to show a reflection that will be only mildly distorted, what do you think it means that there are 6 knives and only 4 forks (and no spoons for that matter)? Something deep and perhaps debaucherous I'm sure.
