Blue U | Keltie Ferris, 2024

Bright, pure blue is not talked about enough for its nearly neon qualities. A bright blue is different than most other colors in their most vibrant form. A bright red is reminiscent of fresh blood. A bright yellow can be found be found in trees in the fall. Bright green is all around us in grass fields and healthy plants. Bright orange fills the sky every once in a while during sunset. But blue doesn’t get that bright in nature. The sky is fairly pale. The ocean is too dark. Even the clearest waters in the Caribbean skew towards turquoise rather than a true blue. Some flowers might come close, but even those are just barely too light or just barely to muted. The bluest blue is electrifying.
