A prime example of a piece of art that somebody might look at and think “I could have done that.” The reality is you probably couldn’t. You probably don’t have the eye to create these strategic layers of paint and scrape the paint to reveal the under-layers at just the right spots and just the right amount. If you tried to recreate the scattered spots in the bottom left corner of the painting, it would probably look awkward. To create such a seamless blend of colors throughout the piece requires more thought and strategy than you know. Abstract art can easily take on effortless qualities, but more times than not it requires significant effort and intention.
