My mind cannot even comprehend paintings like this that look so real, they can easily be mistaken for photographs. How does the human brain find a way to replicate the textures, depth, and light of the world all with paint.
The replication of the material and visual things is incredibly impressive, but the way the artist is able to replicate a feeling is what is most amazing to me. Just by looking at this painting, I can imagine sitting in this booth feeling brief moments of the sun as it shines through the leaves of the plants, looking out the window at the world moving around me, eating good food. A good way to spend a day.
