Goodnight Moon Interior | JJ Manford, 2023

For a scene coming from one of the coziest books of all time, that bed does not look comfortable. The room as a whole feels incredibly cozy, but that bed would give me back problems. The underlying orange that peaks through the oil pastels throughout the work help add a warmth to the scene. There is more warmth in the undertones than there is coming from that weak, dull fire in the fireplace.

I don't know why I'm hating on so many things in this. I picked this as my daily art find because I liked it, and for some reason, my joy for this work is not coming across in my words. Trust me though, I love this. Well, love is strong, but I think this is a lovely piece of art that makes me feel nostalgic and long for my childhood days.
