Coherence | Paul Allen Reed, 1960

I’m having a day. This painting is easy to digest. Therefore, I’m loving it.

Deceptively simple, but the precision it took to make it look so clean and perfect is incredibly impressive. It’s hard to believe that the green horizontal stripes are not actually increasingly translucent. This is a masterclass in color theory.
